Washing walls and picking paints
I’m on vacation next week. Not that its really a vacation, since it will be spent mostly painting some of the house. The bathroom, the bedroom, the kitchen. Possibly the outside and the hallway.
I don’t know if we’re going to tackle the living/dining/hall yet and I know we’re not doing the two back bedrooms yet.
This week, before painting starts, I’m washing the dust and worst stains off the walls and doing some puttying in the million and seventy five holes we have in our walls.
Hubby was talking about having to putty and I said, “You know I CAN do that right. It’s not that hard.”
Its really not. I’ve seen them do it a billion times on home makeover shows. I think I’ve got it covered.
In fact, most of the bedroom has been puttied, other than the really high ones and the holes behind furniture cause I can’t reach them.
I’m ready to have it over with though. Hubby turns into the biggest bastard when he’s working on a project. Expletives fly around here that would make Satan himself blush and I find myself wanting to shove pencils in my ears to silence his constant yelling.
I just hope the paints we pick out look okay. Espically considering the fact that Robert DOESN’T THINK THE WALLS NEED TO BE PRIMED FIRST. -sigh-

I feel for you girl. I hate when I do projects with my hubby because we never agree and he is always convinced he can do whatever it is I am doing better. Usually I plot his demise about 100 times or more. Thankfully I never follow through because once it is all done, I am glad to still have him around. We are actually about to redo our entire house as well, only this time he wants wallpaper. Ugh.
I will say a prayer for you. Keep us posted on your progress!
